Haikus for Now

Planting gardenia

A tree not a bush grows tall

To share its flowers

Gentle solitude

Expand the circle of One

Bless this emptiness

Full moon on on hot night

Gentle breeze fans veranda

Drumming heals her heart

An invitation

To be a  Bodhisattva

Compassionate Soul

Hurry up and wait

Breathing in and breathing out

Going with the flow

Being here and now

Intensifies suffering

Present moment heals

One Bodhisattva

A healer of great suffering

Alive in my heart

Little boys at play

Wild abandon in the woods

Peaceful sunny day

Forgiving myself

For violating my vow

Releasing all shame

March winds from the north

Chilling us all to the bone

Spring solstice blows in

Marriage is for life

Until one partner must grieve

Alone to the end

Dreaming of chaos

Awakens in me great fear

Sunlight brings courage

Bringing past into present

Meeting friends of yore

Creates illusion of youth

Balancing of opposites

A Daily practice

In reconciliation

White to blue to violet

Yesterday, today

And tomorrow in one bush

Morning chatter fills the air

Birds, squirrels, and bees

Interbeing on the lawn

Love is in the air

Fear subsiding everywhere

Beginning of care
